Side Links

In the past, the agricultural sector faced numerous challenges, especially in inaccessible areas such as steep slopes and hills. Due to the significant gradient of the terrain, agricultural machinery could not plow the land quickly and efficiently. The solution came with the introduction of side links.

The side link is installed at the rear of a tractor, connecting to its arm, enabling the movement of one arm and allowing for the adjustment of the height on one side only. This results in the ability to regulate the slope of the machinery.

Initially, manual tie rods were introduced; however, today hydraulic ones are predominantly used due to their ease of operation.

The hydraulic tie rod allows the tractor operator to adjust the machinery without stopping the operation, offering the following advantages:

  • Reduced fuel costs
  • Faster work
  • Less fatigue
  • Higher quality results

All these features make the hydraulic side link an essential part of a farm tractor.

In conclusion, constructing such a component requires consideration of the brand, type, and horsepower of the tractor, as well as the size of the equipment being used.
